Sometimes Put Together

I have been thinking for awhile about starting a blog to highlight all of the types of things I would text my girlfriends about. Things like the best toys to get our kids for Christmas or where we found a great deal on a new area rug. I love shopping sales to find good quality items for a discount and taking on a DIY project when time allows.

With two young children running around, there are days that I think I am crushing life and things are going great. I might have had the chance to look presentable for the day and get all of the various things on my to do list done. Then the next day can be the complete opposite. I may not have had a chance to even brush my teeth and the house could look like a bomb had just gone off. Sometimes I feel “put together” and other times I’m just trying to keep everyone happy until bed time. Even on those hard days, there are still the silver linings of sweet hugs out of nowhere or an “I love you mom” to make it all worth it. I have to keep reminding myself that the kids don’t care if the house is messy. Sometimes all they want is to run around the basement doing an obstacle course.

I don’t want to pretend like I have everything together and my life is Instagram perfect. I would like to showcase a bit more of the reality of life, along with the fun cutesy “picture perfect” things. I would love for you all to join me on this journey of being “Sometimes Put Together.”
